On power-up, the AD7714 performs an internal reset which sets the contents of the internal registers to a known state. There are default values loaded to all registers after a power-on or reset. The default values contain nominal calibration coefficients for the calibration registers. However, to ensure correct calibra-tion for the device a calibration routine should be performed after power-up. To get rid of the noise, you have to use the filters before the ADC, properly arrange the PCB layout. The overall accuracy and linearity of the SAR ADC is determined primarily by the internal DAC. Until recently, most precision SAR ADCs used laser-trimmed thin-film DACs to achieve the desired accuracy and linearity. The thin-film resistor trimming process adds cost, and the thin-film resistor values may be affected when subjected to the mechanical stresses of packaging. For these reasons, switched capacitor (or charge-redistribution) DACs have become popular in newer SAR ADCs. The advantage of the switched capacitor DAC is that the accuracy and linearity is primarily determined by photolithography, which in turn controls the capacitor plate area and the capacitance as well as matching. In addition, small capacitors can be placed in parallel with the main capacitors which can be switched in and out under control of autocalibration routines to achieve high accuracy and linearity without the need for thin-film laser trimming. Temperature tracking between the switched capacitors can be better than 1ppm/ºC, thereby offering a high degree of temperature stability. You can place the analog ground and digital ground in the same layer but separate them. Maybe this can save you some money. |

For the determination of the MCLK, you have to decide the sample rate first, then to decide which interpolation mode to be used.
For the synchronization between DSP and AD1833, this is decided by the operational mode AD1833 will be in. If AD1833 is the master, then AD1833 will do it by itself. And DAP can be master also. For this question, refer to page 13 of the datasheet please. There is no need to synchronize between MCLK and BCLK, it will be did in the AD1833. Don't worry about this.
If you use only one channel, then mute the rest. You can find the register information from page 10 Table IX. Zero detect is not used for this purpose. You can find its usage in the datasheet "The AD1833 provides individual logic output status indicators when zero data is sent to a channel for 1024 or more consecutive sample periods. relevant register associated with each DAC. This setting is used to attenuate the DAC output."
